Catchment

Core area as shown. Although Hastings might be a relatively small town, it has a thriving Hastings & District Cricket Association with member clubs from Rye & Tenterden in the East, across to Robertsbridge, Bodiam and Northiam in the north, then across to Herstmonceux and Eastbourne in the west and back through Bexhill. The Hastings & District Association of Cricket Officials has members in each of those towns.

Training

Training throughout the old county of Sussex is organised on a county-wide basis. Forthcoming courses in our area include:

Level 1 Umpires

Mondays, 8-10 weeks from Monday 24th February 2014, at Crowhurst Park Manor, Crowhurst Park, Telham Lane, Battle, East Sussex TN33 0SL, 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Course costs £70, which includes the course workbook, the MCC Laws booklet, and a copy of Tom Smith's Cricket Umpiring and Scoring (2000 Code 4th Edition 2010).

Ongoing membership of the ECB Association of Cricket Officials is not mandatory, but highly recommended, if only for the free insurance cover and free CRB check. You should bear in mind that membership of ECB ACO is mandatory if you intend umpiring ECB controlled matches. Membership currently costs £30 per year.
