Catchment
To our west we adjoin West Sussex ACO. Brighton and Hastings are covered by their own district associations, being Brighton and Mid Sussex ACO and Hastings & District ACO respectively.

Training throughout the old county of Sussex is organised on a county-wide

Level 1 Umpires -at Berwick Village Hall Sundays January 22nd and 29th, 2012 with exam on February 5th, 2012. For details of timings contact Frank Ratcliffe. Course costs £85, which includes the course workbook, the MCC Laws booklet, a copy of Tom Smith's Cricket Umpiring and Scoring (2000 Code 4th Edition 2010), and membership of the ECB Association of Cricket Officials. This provides free insurance cover and a free CRB check, which all Umpires and Scorers must now hold in order to officiate any game. Ongoing membership of the ECB Association of Cricket Officials is not mandatory, but highly recommended, if only for the free insurance cover and free CRB check. You should bear in mind that membership of ECB ACO is mandatory if you intend umpiring ECB controlled matches. Membership currently costs £30 per year. |
